Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
Most decision makers are visually orientated and the information most useful for development, planning and decision making purposes involve the spatial distribution and relationships between various spatial features. The integration of various data components within a GIS-based information system through the use of appropriate technology is one of the key activities of K2M Environmental.
An important aspect often hampering effective planning and development is the lack of capacity and skills (relating both to equipment and manpower) to ensure the implementation and management of appropriate information systems. In response to this problem, K2M Environmental offers a bureau service to both public and private sector clients for setting up and maintaining information systems to address their day-to-day information activities, while focusing on their core business. This includes components such as detailed cadastral mapping, data integration, data maintenance, data analysis and mapping and data dissemination.
